The Burke Team looks like it now officially has a vessel for the tourney which is a pretty huge burden off of our backs. It looks like our friend Glenn is either going to go with our team on his 27’ whaler or he is going to lend it to us for the day. Either way, we are now officially in our own tourney!!!!Fishing has been very limited this year for us which my brother loves to point out. I have not been out much this season at all which to me only means more focus for the July 26th event.I spent Friday afternoon at 3-time headhunt winning team member Mike O’Brien’s house. He was having a fantastic barbecue out here in Harwich which included all sorts of fresh clam dishes and tuna steaks all brought by local folks who gathered and caught the local seafood on their own the day before. The Headhunt was of course a big part of the discussion at this local 4th of July event which was nice as I have not been able to get out on the town much lately. There were past champions and other tourney participants, and an overall crowd of people who just love to be a part of it for the event and camaraderie of it all even thought they do not even fish. I saw some folks that I had not seen since last year so the afternoon was another great one out here in Harwich even though I had to leave earlier than I would have liked to get home to take care of the kids (the wife is a nurse who works 3-11 at CC Hospital). The new T-shirts are now fully in stock and sign up fees for the tourney are coming in now. Please sign up as soon as possible now so we can promote the participants as much as possible!!!! We need to get this thing fully rolling now so lock up your slot. You can either call or write me to sign up or you can sign up at Sunrise Bait and Tackle in Harwichport.Like I said, the T-shirts are in and they have been reported as being our best ever! I sold a bunch yesterday and my brother has batch heading to Boston.Let me know if you are going to want a few T’s as I just want to make sure that I get enough made for everyone who wants them. We run out every year tourney day and some folks are bummed, but they sell fast and it takes time to make more.I hope that everyone enjoyed the 4th!Sean
