THE BLOW DATE IS IN – JULY 14TH. We all know we have had trouble with weather (and everything else) in the past, so we are firming up July 14th for the blow outdate – the call will be made Friday night before the tourney and posted on the homepage and we will make calls to as many folks as we have numbers to. We will also tape it to the back of Donnies hat so it should be visible in half the bars on the Cape by midnight Friday.
The t-shirts keep selling like mad so we have already put in another order, make sure you harass Mike O’Brien or Sean Burke to get one, or just submit a request through the website here and we will send them out to you – free of charge!
Sounds like there are some better reports coming in from Monomoy so should be a good tourney. I hit Race Point last weekend with Ethan Kusmin (Captain of tourney entrant Sea Fever from Plymouth) and got a few small ones and one keeper – but what a zoo over there – reminded me of the scene in Jaws where every yahoo is out looking for the shark in every boat imaginable – there must have been over 100 boats trolling wire back and forth along the same 3 mile long, 100 yard wide stretch.
The official trophy has been made and is bigger and better than ever, so some lucky boat will be chugging iced down Zima’s from the winners circle on June 30th.
If anyone has any questions, just send them to [email protected] and keep spreading the word – it is almost go time.
Seacrest out.
