It is sad day of sorts as it looks like the Burke family vessel “Wild Goose” has sold to a couple of guys from Virginia. They want to put it in Oregon Inlet N.C. and use it to fish for yellow fin tuna and they seem like good guys and dedicated fishermen so it looks as if she is going to have a good new home.
What the F is our team going to do now as we are planning on getting into a new rig asap but we are going to take our time as it is obviously a buyer’s market. Do we go inboard diesel? Do we go smaller outboard? How should we deal with the freaking fuel issue?
Where the hell is Harry Corduroy and his team of chumps?
These are all questions that we need to ponder with over the next few weeks while we somehow find a boat to get us in our own tournament. We have a local family friend who are pretty sure can get us out in style and we plan on taking this challenge by the nuts no matter what we have to do!
I am finalizing the T-shirts with ESP Tees and they are looking very sweet and this year they will include the display of some local and non-local sponsors. We are proud to get local businesses and beyond involved as this year most of the sponsors are close friends and people we look forward to working with now and in the future.
The list of sponsors is listed below and this will be the final list as of next week, yet contact us if you would like to be included as a sponsor?

I also have two big boxes of stuff in my garage from “On the Water” magazine that we plan on distributing to this year’s winners as we did last season.
SUNRISE Bait and Tackle is also our “weigh in” station again this year and they are looking to support us again in any way possible which we are very thankful for. On that note, they are a great tackle station and we would love for you to just sign up for the tourney with them if you are in the area and know that you want in on this “battle royale”.
As my beef stick brother stated the slogan is the only thing we cannot seem to come to terms with. The shirts are ready to go minus one of our usual catchy phrases, but we are both on opposite pages with what we think is a good one.
“there will be blood”
“slam a slob”
“Rig it Stick it Slam it”
“The sleepy fox catches no chickens”
“These are the times that try men’s poles”
“we love the smell of bagged trophy Bass in the morning”
“Bring it on!”
*PLEASE give us your input and feel free to think of anything else as if you come up with a good one that we use we send you a check for $25, take $50 of your entry fee, or give you 2 free T-shirts.
Wish us luck on finding a new vessel and also feel free to send us your advice on what you think that we should get or even better let us know if you know of any great boats that are for sale.
Let’s get it started hear in this blog for crap’s sake!!!!!
