I’m stuck in Denver airport, ready to go on a freaking rampage with no sleep, and four scotches deep, so thought I would write about this fishing tournament which might be the only ray of hope in my life right now.
One of the things we are trying to finalize is the slogan for the T-Shirts. We have some good ideas, and will post a list soon but it takes my brother an eternity to do anything so we should have that list to post by the 10th annual tourney. A few front runners are “There will be blood” and “Slam a Slob”. If anyone has any ideas, and wants to be able to tell chicks that they came up with the slogan for the hottest Cape event this side of amateur night at Zacharys, shoot us an email or post on this site. You will also get a free shirt, and maybe a few ass slaps.
On the fishing front, had a great day on Stellwagon on Sunday. Went out with my buddies 31’ Contender out of Boston Harbor and had a great day ground fishing – picked up a good number of keeper cod and haddock and had action all day. By noon it flattened out, was sunny, and then huge shoals of sand eels showed up. It was crazy, with literally acres of eels and stripers jumping clear out of the water chasing them. The fish are here.
In other news, the legendary Wild Goose fishing machine may be sold soon. This means that the Burke/Tria crew (fan favorites) may be looking for a new rig for the tourney, so keep your eyes open. Otherwise we will just hijack another French boat, win the tourney, and punch Seamus. Eff it.
I also met Jenna Haze today.
