Maybe some new gear?

Been messing around with some new gear this year, using Custom Ink (great site and customer service btw). Designed this sweatshirt for Petey of  Team Powe for his 40th - championship sweatshirt - even if they chartered a boat, then changed captains 2 years later and are now one of the most controversial boats (again) this year.

Shirts will probably be pretty simple again this year, but may throw a few other options in the mix. If anyone has a free (free) lance designer who wants to take a quick swag at toughening up the fish logo, let me know. I think it's affectionately been called a herring, or a pogo, a few times, but it works.

Either way, Ben sent some pics of herring scales by a herring run in Westport this am. Desperate, yes, but great to see the commitment to the cause. In Boston, had a line up of cormorants, and a seal, waiting under the Charlestown bridge yesterday waiting for the locks to open, so they're sensing something as well.

If anyone has any reports, send them in. Also, killer On The Water last Sunday - 3 big tuna on Stellwagen from last November - on spinning gear. Good stuff.

Taking a year off of any responsibility other than running the boat game day has rejuvenated me. I am not jumping back in full on by any means but stepping away from the planning and the turmoil with my brother and father was the best decision I have made in many years. I want to give a shout out to Ryan for keeping things going even though I still always kind of hate him and my father but all is good. I am off to Florida next week which helps my outlook. Hopefully Tria and Ben will take some pictures of the lead party that is going today down in Rhode Island and hopefully Tria will whip up some of those white top water lures for us.

The Chatham Southway is looking sketchy which hurts us coming from the sound. On the other hand, I stopped by sunrise bait and tackle today to grab some worms for the pond and seeing Gerry again was great. They will be ready for the tournament again and please stop by and see them and pick up your gear and bait at a small local shop if you are in the area.
