Not sure if anyone else was up with a sick wife and kiddos and watched Charlie Moore’s show on NBC Sports Network, but there was an episode on Cape Cod starring past Headhunt champion Dave Burnie. If you missed it - it's worth finding and checking out. He was announced as ‘local fisherman’ and owner of Hakafish.com (cool site you should check out) but talk about missing the boat. Guy won the damn Headhunt – they should be leading with that – and Dave, how about a at least a shout out to the tourney, or painting the website on the side of your boat for the episode, or tattooing it on your brothers ass and having him do a drive by on Long Pond.
Either way, congrats to Dave and it was a sweet show. I hadn’t heard of a few of the places they went to eat in Wellfleet, but looked great. On the saltwater side only a couple dogfish, but again, if they knew the title this guy has held, would have been a whole new situation in how they set this up. There was another past Headhunt champ in the show, and Garrett from longtime tourney sponsor Goose Hummock was featured, so there was a Headhunt flavor throughout. For you old time Headhunters, you remember the early days when the Madfisherman was a sponsor – would be great to get him back!

We are finalizing some stuff, but still looking for donations to beef up the prizes if anyone has anything they want to donate. We’re trying to simplify things to make the planning (family warfare) easier so prizes may be lighter this year which is fine – it’s never been about the prizes.
Sounds like fish are here so get the reports coming in – Sean has officially lost for last person to catch a striper in the season for Team Jackal – I think that’s 5 years running so at least he has some consistency.
